JLB Expertises sustainability department offers audit, follow-up and support activities to cocoa cooperatives in West Africa on chocolate industry or cocoa traders’ demand.

All our services are tailor-made and fully adapted to the client context and specific needs, to enable distant actors to get reinsurance and visibility on cooperatives sustainability activities management.

These controls can cover :

Sustainability premiums distribution to farmers
Premium usage on in-kind development projects of the cooperative
Cooperative compliance to private certification scheme requirements

Our control activities are traditionally based on a documentation study, completed by trips to the cooperatives, co-ops administration meeting, and individual encounters with cocoa producers and / or projects beneficiaries.

We also offer a remote follow-up of cooperatives activities by using the blockchain technology to secure photos and videos reception from the farmer organization, for in-kind projects progress follow-up for instance.
